Synthetic rubber

Advanced design, heavy duty construction, and high capacities of KAAE dryers enable rubber drying production lines to be started up quickly, run for extended periods, and provide a profitable operation, for NBR, SBR, SBS, SBC, SEBS, SIS, SEPS, and specialized polymers, in all grades, standard and oil extended.

Robust Construction

- Engineered modular frame structure, capable of withstanding thousands of thermal cycles, while maintaining the critical tolerances for expansion/contraction, and structural integrity and alignment.

- Reinforced, walk-on roof provides working platform, as well as a thermal barrier.

- Reinforced truss construction of conveyor ensures heavy loading capability, even at the widest conveyor widths.

- Heavy Duty structural discharge enclosure and rubber handling equipment ensures long life and stable operation.

Easy, Effective Cleaning

- Full doors on both sides of dryer increases ease and effectiveness of cleaning

- Smooth interior discharge end and access hatches ensure cleanability of rotating equipment

- High pressure wash system for critical conveyor areas allows continuous operation

Energy Efficient

- Fully integrated advanced energy management systems provide precise control of air streams.

- Utilizes heated spent air from the cooler as dryer make-up air, minimizing exhaust loads and energy demands.

- Cascading airflow pattern maximizes inlet air total efficiency.

KAAE rubber thermal processing systems can be fitted with either a hydraulic oscillating vibratory feeder, or bias cut feeder to load the dryer downstream of expander/extruders. A precision control system ensures uniform conveyor loading and maximizes the overall consistency of the polymer's final moisture content.

Specially designed rotating pickers can be added to loosen the product on the conveyor, ensuring an even flow of product to the breaker system. Constructed of stainless steel, the picker system can be mounted in varying locations to optimize is effectiveness.

At the discharge end of the conveyor optional doffers ensure positive removal of material from the conveyor, eliminating cross contamination and thermal degradation by subsequent reheating of product.

A heavy duty, reinforced rotating blade and tine breaker system can be incorporated into the modular discharge end. The breaker system reduces particulate to a consistent size and breaks up clumps, allowing effective downstream conveying and baling. An add-on cut flight discharge screw can provide additional uniform size reduction, if needed.
